About Me

Experience

General practice lawyer since 2009.
For more than six years I collaborated with a law firm, having worked with banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, and medium and large companies. During this period, I dedicated myself to several areas of practice, including insolvency, special revitalization process, banking, real estate, insurance, credit recovery, and civil liability. Subsequently, for more than a year, I joined a national bank, in the area of credit back-office, ensuring processing activities and legal support for credit operations. Since 2017 I have been dedicated to the individual practice of law, dedicating myself to several practice areas, but with a special focus on digital, real estate, and corporate.

Motivations

A strong advocate of preventive advocacy. This advocacy is based on the intervention of the lawyer at an embryonic stage of any legal relationship and aims to prevent or reduce the birth of litigation. Committed to the practice of advocacy adapted and adjusted to the digital age, not only as a practice but as an ally of the new challenges.

Academic Achievements

Law degree, by the University of Minho, completed in 2009.
Pedagogical Skills Certificate obtained in 2016.
The teaching part of the Master in Law and Informatics, by the University of Minho, completed in 2020.

Compliance
Legal advice in this area, regardless of the sector of activity, is fundamental in the prevention of risks.
It is an individualized and personalized follow-up and treatment for each client, in which the risk prevention needs are adapted to the specific situation.
My work includes, among others, the following:

- Training in Data Protection and Cybersecurity suitable for the entire corporate hierarchy.
Litigation
This area involves not only a preventive intervention in the pre-litigation phase but also the search for an effective solution in case of litigation.
This is an extrajudicial and judicial follow-up that aims to reduce the possible damage that a lawsuit can bring to the client.
My work focuses, in particular, on the following services:
- Counseling and risk analysis of legal proceedings.
- Assistance in disputes that occur in Portuguese courts.
- Assistance in the different degrees of admissible appeals.
Real Estate
This is an area that requires an understanding of the needs of the clients as well as the provision of complete and comprehensive service in all its phases. Knowledge of the real estate market is fundamental. It is also important to respond to the multidisciplinary that is characteristic of it.
Legal advice can and should cover all areas of real estate activity.
My work focuses, among others, on the following:

- Negotiation and constitution of real and personal guarantees.
- Negotiation and contract writing.

- Representation, monitoring, and formalization of business.
Revitalization and Insolvency
It is essential to obtain legal advice in the face of any of these situations.
It is a specialized service, focused on feasible solutions, whose scope is to safeguard the client’s interests.

Information Technologies
The digital revolution, despite having started more than 50 years ago, is a phenomenon that still brings challenges today because it continues to transform society’s life.
Cyberspace is today the most frequented territory, personal data is one of the most valuable assets in the world and, therefore, legal solutions are required capable of responding to the needs that result from this reality.
My work aims to respond to these needs, such as through:

- Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policies, and Cookies Policies for websites.
- Consultancy and training on Privacy and Protection of Personal Data.

Insurance
This is a fundamental area in the lives of most people since it is mandatory to take out insurance for the exercise of certain activities. There are several types of insurance, some mandatory and others optional, which are differently adapted to the needs.
It is essential to ensure the balance of the legal relationship that is established between the different actors.
In this area, my intervention includes the following:

- Advice and analysis in case of an accident.

The challenges that companies facing are daily and are often complex.
